Residential Workshops

These are a fabulous way to submerge yourself and learn a particular subject and medium. Some Residential workshops are sponsored by leading art suppliers, which include art materials making them especially good value.

Residential workshops have up to sixteen people on them and can be extremely humorous and lots of fun. It can be quite daunting, the very idea of trekking off on your own to join a group of people you’ve never met, and spend a few days with them. I find that with ‘art’ being the link, people are friendly, eager to learn and immediately find things in common. Once you have joined me on a residential workshop, I get to know everyone quite well and we usually keep in touch, whether by email or phone. People return to do more workshops with me, as they are always quite different. I adapt my residential workshops depending on the group; no one ever feels out of their depth or is left to manage on their own. The focus is on learning with the most important element being to have fun and enjoy it.

There are currently two venues that I am organising over the following year, the others are organised by Artist and Leisure Painter Magazines.
