Art Group Testimonials

Wem Art Group April 08
I am writing on behalf of all the members and visitors who learned so much from you last Tuesday.Thank you for inspiring us. You would have been very gratified if you had been a fly on the wall at our meeting yesterday;__ we had a record number of members attending, and the majority putting your advice into practice. From my own point of view, I found your paintbrush very helpful indeed. Thank you.
We look forward to catching up with you at the N.E.C. in the Autumn.

BADFA Convention 2007. Richard Bond writes -
On the Terry Harrison stand next to Terry, demonstrating her gorgeous soft watercolour flower techniques was the lovely Fiona Peart. Beautiful soft roses, lilacs and leaves along with beautiful flowing Iris's just seeming to flow quite effortlessly from her brushes. I had the pleasure of speaking to them both for over half an hour.

Ufton Art Group - Workshop
Thank you very much indeed for such an enjoyable event today. I know many people who said it was their best ever event they had attended. It was so nice to see people going away with a real work of art.
We look forward to seeing you again.

Willans Retirement Association - newsletter
We were lucky to have professional artist Fiona Peart to give her talk with demonstrations on watercolour, pastel and drawing media.
This was an excellent talk/demonstration and it will inspire some members to take up ART.
Many thanks to Fiona

Heart Of England Artists
Dear Fiona,
Thank you again for a most stimulating demonstration. Everyone enjoyed it and we will all be practising your tips at the next meeting - and seeing the improvements!
Many thanks

Cathering DeBarnes Art Group
Thank you for your wonderful slide show and pastel domonstration which was extremely entertaining and informative. Our members enjoyed it so much and were delighted that you were able to come to our simple hall. We hope you will come and entertain us again next year.

Testimonials from recent workshops

Another exciting painting day. In a relaxed and happy atmosphere we experimented with soluble pens, how they related to both water and paint, used a pallet knife to move paint and dropped in colours wet into wet. I took home a painting of which I was proud, thank you for a great day and a good boost of confidence.

The Tulips and Checks Day was great fun and resulted in a vibrant and colourful painting.
Felicity H Lilbourne

Thank you again for a wonderful day painting tulips - the hours passed by as if they were minutes! Your tuition and guidance were tip top as always.
I returned home feeling refreshed even though I was also tired from concentrating hard on what I was trying to achieve.
Your new printed layout for the course yesterday was hugely helpful to me because -
It reduced the pressure on me to 'keep up' with the rest of the class which made the day more relaxing and enjoyable.
It gave us all more time to practice the different techniques first, before rushing/brushing ahead on the actual 'painting'.
We didn't have to waste precious time drawing and preparing before 'hitting the paint'! Thanks

Many thanks for Saturday I thoroughly enjoyed the day (which incidently flew by). As a complete beginner I found the course very relaxed friendy and well organised. Your idea of printing the image onto the paper was (from my point of view) a fantastic idea. My main aim of the day was to learn watercolour painting techniques and by providing the printed template this meant i could spend more time on the painting than trying to draw the image, so full marks. Your tuition I found to be very precise and placing me next to you was very helpful and appreciated. I cannot wait until the next course I'm doing.

Quirky Cottages, what a wonderful way to learn more about the properties of watercolour paints and to try out new techniques with brush strokes! To receive all this tuition in one enjoyable day and leave with two colourful and delightfully quirky framed pictures (which even a complete beginner achieved) was the icing on the cake – thanks Fiona

If one feels the need to take your mind of the stresses and strains of life and have a most enjoyable day in good company and being very uplifted by the end results then the Art Courses are highly recommended. Many thanks to you Fiona.
Joyce

I have enjoyed the whole weekend, I am a complete beginner, the pictures I produced were amazing, the sense of achievement is a great feeling, the feedback is always positive.

Quirky cottages, excellent fun day to learn about watercolours and brush strokes.
Mixed Media day, relaxing with excellent results and lots of learning

I did enjoy my day, your skill, passion and enthusiasm for art is certainly infectious, and with the encouragement you gave, my confidence was certainly raised with what I achieved.
Joyce

Thoroughly enjoyable day, we were shown ‘how to’ apply the paint, ‘how to’ hold the brush to achieve interesting marks and patterns and most important ‘how to’ mix colours. We had a lot of enthusiastic encouragement from Fiona and we all achieved a framed finished piece to take home at the end of the course. To anyone who may be a bit nervous of booking, it is well worth the experience. Looking forward to the next one.
