Welcome to my Gallery

Although I use various media, my fist love is Watercolour, so most of the paintings you will see in my gallery are watercolours. I enjoy using the paint wet into wet creating ethereal lighting but bringing the subjects firmly into focus using dramatic contrasts and limited layers.

I often suggest something is happening in my pictures, so if you look at the titles you may think again about the subjects, there is often a play on words or a double meaning suggested.

I have grouped my work into subjects and mediums, some of the mediums are explained at the bottom of the page. Those paintings, which are for sale, are listed below. Prices are quoted for original paintings un-mounted and unframed.

Acrylic Inks differ from Watercolour in that they dry permanent and can be extremely bright, this means that washes can be floated one on top of another without disturbing the layer underneath. They flow in much the same way as watercolours.

Inktense is a pigment based water-soluble pencil medium, which has unique textural qualities that I like to use. It is not dissimilar to Watercolour, but is most definitely more contemporary in its application process.

Tinted Charcoal is in a pencil form making it ideal for blending and creating very immediate drawing techniques, it can be blended with water although I prefer to use it as a dry medium.
